Tell us what is going on. A lot of it we can narrow down over the phone, and if it turns out you do not need an electrician, we will say so.

Consumer unit replacement
A 1980s rewireable fuse box swapped for an 18th Edition board with its own RCBO on every circuit. Half a day, and no rewiring needed.

New pendant fittings and wall lights through a timber-lined room, all on the existing circuits, so no chasing and no making good.

Where we work
Ten boroughs, and most of the towns inside them.
Most weeks we are somewhere in Manchester, Salford or Stockport, which is where the bulk of our work is. From there we head north to Bolton, Bury and Rochdale, east to Oldham and Ashton-under-Lyne, and south through Altrincham, Sale and Chorlton.
Wigan and the far west of the county we will still come out to, though for a full job rather than a half-hour callout. If you are not sure whether you are in our patch, ring and ask. It takes a minute and we will tell you straight.

Old fuse box, and two other sparks had told us it needed doing and then never came back with a quote. This lot came out on the Tuesday, quoted there and then, fitted it the week after. Four hours, no mess.

Kitchen sockets kept tripping and I had already had two people look at it. Whoever came out spent about an hour tracing it and found a nail through a cable behind the units, from when the kitchen went in years ago. Sorted it the same visit. It was not cheap, but it was a fixed price and it has not tripped since.

Had a charger put in for the new car. They checked the supply first and told me straight that the board would need moving as well, which added a bit, but they explained why before doing anything.
